Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work There were 7066 ships encircling the planet, from the Barge Series, 2011 by Lita Albuquerque. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,197.01). Admittedly, works by Lita Albuquerque have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Auric Field Solar Flash (Gold au2) in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,221.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit There were 7066 ships encircling the planet, from the Barge Series, 2011 von Lita Albuquerque zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.197,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lita Albuquerque auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Auric Field Solar Flash (Gold au2) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.221,47).
