Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Naturaleza muerta No. 2 by Lilia Carrillo. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,225.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lilia Carrillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Momento Anterior, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,330.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Naturaleza muerta No. 2 von Lilia Carrillo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 35.225,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lilia Carrillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Momento Anterior beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 88.200,00 (€ 72.330,65) versteigert wurde.
