Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Símbolos Actuales by Lilia Carrillo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,058.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lilia Carrillo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Momento Anterior was auctioned for USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,330.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Símbolos Actuales von Lilia Carrillo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.058,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Lilia Carrillo konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Momento Anterior für USD 88.200,00 (€ 72.330,65) versteigert.
