In November 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Paintings, which included this untitled work by Lilia Carrillo. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,177.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lilia Carrillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Momento Anterior, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,330.65).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lilia Carrillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.177,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lilia Carrillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Momento Anterior beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 88.200,00 (€ 72.330,65) versteigert wurde.
