The work Landscape by Li Huayi was worth USD 819,000.00 (€ 793,374.02) to a buyer in November last year. This price was achieved in the auction Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 180,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Huayi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Forever Young sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of HKD 12,475,000.00 (€ 1,508,318.31).
