Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Ripples of Gleam by Li Huayi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 5,499,000.00 (€ 611,687.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 3,500,000.00 – 5,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Huayi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forever Young, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 12,475,000.00 (€ 1,508,318.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ripples of Gleam von Li Huayi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 5.499.000,00 (€ 611.687,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 3.500.000,00 – 5.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Huayi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forever Young beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 12.475.000,00 (€ 1.508.318,31) versteigert wurde.
