Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Symphony by Leonardo Nierman was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 784.47). Admittedly, works by Leonardo Nierman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aurora Borealis (Artic Sunrise) in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,598.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Symphony von Leonardo Nierman im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 875,00 (€ 784,47) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonardo Nierman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aurora Borealis (Artic Sunrise) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.598,68).
