Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Leonardo Nierman could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Night Flight changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,232.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonardo Nierman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aurora Borealis (Artic Sunrise), which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,598.68).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonardo Nierman konnte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Night Flight für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.232,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonardo Nierman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aurora Borealis (Artic Sunrise) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.598,68) versteigert wurde.
