Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Mrs Henry Wickham Steed, in a London interior by Leonard Campbell Taylor. The price achieved of GBP 4,812.50 (€ 5,343.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Campbell Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sisters in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mrs Henry Wickham Steed, in a London interior von Leonard Campbell Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.812,50 (€ 5.343,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sisters im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02).
