Auction result well in line with expectations
The work British Meditation by Leonard Campbell Taylor was sold in the British and Continental Pictures & 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2009. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,479.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Campbell Taylor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sisters, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit British Meditation von Leonard Campbell Taylor wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures & 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.479,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sisters beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02) versteigert wurde.
