Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work Looking Into The Pantry by Leonard Campbell Taylor. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,820.38), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Campbell Taylor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sisters, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Looking Into The Pantry von Leonard Campbell Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.820,38) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sisters beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02) versteigert wurde.
