Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leonard Campbell Taylor could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Memories changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,559.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Campbell Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sisters in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Campbell Taylor konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Memories für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.559,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sisters im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02).
