This artwork by Leonard Campbell Taylor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2008. In the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction, the work Pitch Hill, from Wykehurst Farm, Ewhurst sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,496.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Campbell Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sisters in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Campbell Taylor erzielte im März 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures wurde die Arbeit Pitch Hill, from Wykehurst Farm, Ewhurst für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.496,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sisters im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02).
