In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Blue Room by Leonard Campbell Taylor. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,107.14), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Campbell Taylor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sisters, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).

Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Blue Room von Leonard Campbell Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.107,14) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sisters beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02) versteigert wurde.
