It achieved a price of USD 5,334.00 (€ 4,831.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Polk Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Over Red in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 336,500.00 (€ 297,182.73).

Die Arbeit Color Forms F; and H von Leon Polk Smith wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.334,00 (€ 4.831,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Polk Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Over Red im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.500,00 (€ 297.182,73).
