Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brezhnev II (1976) by Leon Golub was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2016. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,561.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Golub achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Squad X in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 158,385.59).

Die Arbeit Brezhnev II (1976) von Leon Golub kam im September 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.561,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Golub erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Squad X im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 158.385,59).
