Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Rain Ii by Leandro Erlich was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,214.32), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leandro Erlich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Window and Ladder- Too Late for Help, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,757.90).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Rain Ii von Leandro Erlich wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.214,32) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leandro Erlich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Window and Ladder- Too Late for Help beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.757,90) versteigert wurde.
