Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstraction II by Larry Zox was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 573.75 (€ 570.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Zox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quaminis in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,033.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstraction II von Larry Zox kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 573,75 (€ 570,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Zox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quaminis im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.033,90).
