Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled 4 by Larry Zox was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 600.00 – 900.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 382.50 (€ 360.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Zox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quaminis in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,033.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled 4 von Larry Zox im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 382,50 (€ 360,78) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Zox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quaminis im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.033,90).
