Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Dancing In The Mist by Koon Wai Bong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,589.75). Admittedly, works by Koon Wai Bong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,129.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancing In The Mist von Koon Wai Bong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.589,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Koon Wai Bong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.129,72).
