Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Reverberations In The Sunny Mountains by Koon Wai Bong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,730.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koon Wai Bong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,129.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reverberations In The Sunny Mountains von Koon Wai Bong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.730,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Koon Wai Bong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.129,72).
