Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riverbank by Koon Wai Bong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,803.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koon Wai Bong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six), which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,129.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Riverbank von Koon Wai Bong kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.803,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Koon Wai Bong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.129,72) versteigert wurde.
