It achieved a price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,509.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koon Wai Bong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six), which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,129.72).

Die Arbeit Whispering Woods (Set Of Five Works) von Koon Wai Bong kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.509,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Koon Wai Bong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.129,72) versteigert wurde.
