Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence, which included the work Dancing With The Shadows (Set Of Eight Fans) by Koon Wai Bong. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,006.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Koon Wai Bong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,129.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancing With The Shadows (Set Of Eight Fans) von Koon Wai Bong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.006,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Koon Wai Bong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gentlemen (Set Of Thirty-Six) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.129,72).
