Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Wild Girls Rabbit Puppet by Kim Dingle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,755.00 (€ 8,803.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kim Dingle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wild Girls Rabbit Puppet von Kim Dingle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.755,00 (€ 8.803,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kim Dingle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.250,00 (€ 41.691,31).
