Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman) by Kerry James Marshall was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in June this year. The price achieved of USD 7,620.00 (€ 6,978.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kerry James Marshall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Past Times in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 21,114,500.00 (€ 18,092,973.44).
