Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman) by Kerry James Marshall was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in June this year. The price achieved of USD 7,620.00 (€ 6,978.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kerry James Marshall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Past Times in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 21,114,500.00 (€ 18,092,973.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Woman) von Kerry James Marshall wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.620,00 (€ 6.978,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kerry James Marshall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Past Times im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.114.500,00 (€ 18.092.973,44).
