Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kerry James Marshall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in January 2024. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Souvenir I sold for GBP 3,556.00 (€ 5,951.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kerry James Marshall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Past Times in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 21,114,500.00 (€ 18,092,973.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kerry James Marshall erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Souvenir I für GBP 3.556,00 (€ 5.951,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kerry James Marshall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Past Times im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.114.500,00 (€ 18.092.973,44).
