Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction The Now Evening Auction, which included the work Beauty Examined by Kerry James Marshall. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,538,000.00 (€ 12,615,786.04). Other works by Kerry James Marshall have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 21,114,500.00 (€ 18,092,973.44) in May 2018 for the work Past Times.
