Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Keeping The Culture by Kerry James Marshall. The price achieved of USD 9,450.00 (€ 9,512.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kerry James Marshall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Past Times in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 21,114,500.00 (€ 18,092,973.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Keeping The Culture von Kerry James Marshall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 9.512,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kerry James Marshall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Past Times im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.114.500,00 (€ 18.092.973,44).
