Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Suprematist Composition With Plane In Projection by Kazimir Malevich. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,162,500.00 (€ 18,834,549.66), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kazimir Malevich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Suprematist Composition, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 85,812,500.00 (€ 73,532,562.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suprematist Composition With Plane In Projection von Kazimir Malevich zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.162.500,00 (€ 18.834.549,66) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kazimir Malevich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Suprematist Composition beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 85.812.500,00 (€ 73.532.562,13) versteigert wurde.
