Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Mystic Suprematism (Black Cross On Red Oval) by Kazimir Malevich. The price achieved of USD 37,770,000.00 (€ 35,760,272.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000,000.00 – 45,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kazimir Malevich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Suprematist Composition, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 85,812,500.00 (€ 73,532,562.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mystic Suprematism (Black Cross On Red Oval) von Kazimir Malevich zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.770.000,00 (€ 35.760.272,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000.000,00 – 45.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kazimir Malevich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Suprematist Composition beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 85.812.500,00 (€ 73.532.562,13) versteigert wurde.
