A top price for Kazimir Malevich
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Suprematist Composition by Kazimir Malevich. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 85,812,500.00 (€ 73,532,562.13). With this result, Suprematist Composition is even the most expensive work of art by Kazimir Malevich that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Kazimir Malevich
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suprematist Composition von Kazimir Malevich zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 85.812.500,00 (€ 73.532.562,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Suprematist Composition sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kazimir Malevich, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
