Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Square And Cone by Kazimir Malevich was sold in the Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,296.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kazimir Malevich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suprematist Composition in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 85,812,500.00 (€ 73,532,562.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Square And Cone von Kazimir Malevich wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.296,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kazimir Malevich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suprematist Composition im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 85.812.500,00 (€ 73.532.562,13).
