Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples Online, which included this untitled work by Kai Althoff. The price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 763.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kai Althoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Antonius Eremita in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 682,000.00 (€ 769,085.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kai Althoff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 763,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kai Althoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Antonius Eremita im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 682.000,00 (€ 769.085,60).
