Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work If You Pay Attention No. 132, Iran by Jürgen Teller for USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,761.25). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jürgen Teller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paradis XVIII. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 20,640.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit If You Pay Attention No. 132, Iran von Jürgen Teller für USD 1.890,00 (€ 1.761,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jürgen Teller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paradis XVIII. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.640,00.
