Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Juan Genovés achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2018. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Tránsito (Transit) sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,730.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Genovés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Columna I, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Juan Genovés erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Tránsito (Transit) für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.730,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Genovés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Columna I beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) versteigert wurde.
