Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work One and Three Saws Ety. by Joseph Kosuth. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,900.00 (€ 75,082.51). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Kosuth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ‘Titled (A.A.I.A.I.)’ [text-context|AID1046897], which sold at auction in November last year for USD 289,800.00 (€ 280,732.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit One and Three Saws Ety. von Joseph Kosuth zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.900,00 (€ 75.082,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Kosuth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ‘Titled (A.A.I.A.I.)’ [text-context|AID1046897] beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 289.800,00 (€ 280.732,35) versteigert wurde.
