This artwork by José de Creeft achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2007. In the House Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,461.50) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José de Creeft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cubist Figure in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von José de Creeft erzielte im September 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion House Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.461,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José de Creeft erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cubist Figure im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
