This artwork by José de Creeft achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2016. In the Living With Art auction, the work Untitled (Two Figures Embracing) sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,926.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José de Creeft - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cubist Figure, which sold at auction in February 2016 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von José de Creeft erzielte im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living With Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Two Figures Embracing) für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.926,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von José de Creeft mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cubist Figure beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30) versteigert wurde.
