In February 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included the work La Nuit by José de Creeft. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,926.57), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José de Creeft - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cubist Figure, which sold at auction in February 2016 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Nuit von José de Creeft zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.926,57) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von José de Creeft mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cubist Figure beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30) versteigert wurde.
