Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by José de Creeft could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living With Art auction, the work Metamorphosis changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 4,025.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by José de Creeft have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cubist Figure in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von José de Creeft konnte im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living With Art wechselte die Arbeit Metamorphosis für USD 4.375,00 (€ 4.025,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José de Creeft auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cubist Figure im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
