Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Monkey by José de Creeft for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,220.46). This price was achieved in the auction Living With Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José de Creeft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cubist Figure in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Monkey von José de Creeft für USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.220,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Living With Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José de Creeft erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cubist Figure im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
