Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flying Man With Briefcase No. 2816950 by Jonathan Borofsky was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,266.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jonathan Borofsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man with Briefcase A; B; C; at No. 3274714; and at No. 5876246 (G. 1482-4; 1461) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 45,245.46).
