Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brite Spot by Jon Pestoni was sold in the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,211.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jon Pestoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loose Turn in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 41,422.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brite Spot von Jon Pestoni wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.211,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jon Pestoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loose Turn im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 41.422,08).
