Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Island Snare by John Tunnard was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,515.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Tunnard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Display in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Island Snare von John Tunnard wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.515,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Tunnard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Display im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82).
