Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Angler Fish by John Tunnard was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 25,600.00 (€ 29,793.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Tunnard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Display in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Angler Fish von John Tunnard wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.600,00 (€ 29.793,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Tunnard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Display im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82).
