Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Storm by John Tunnard. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,980.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Tunnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Display in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Storm von John Tunnard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.980,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Tunnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Display im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82).
