Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by John Tunnard for GBP 9,500.00 (€ 11,067.39). This price was achieved in the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Tunnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Display in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Tunnard für GBP 9.500,00 (€ 11.067,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Tunnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Display im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82).
