Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Radio For Vogue - Upright by John Tunnard was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October last year. It achieved a price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,100.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Tunnard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Display, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Radio For Vogue - Upright von John Tunnard wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.100,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Tunnard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Display beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82) versteigert wurde.
