In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Gates Of The City (Fletcher 126) by John Taylor Arms for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,137.84). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Taylor Arms - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Various Subjects, which sold at auction in April 2000 for USD 11,162.50 (€ 12,281.33).
